The Coloured Statue

I have long admired the classically trained artists, and one of their training sessions involves drawings of plaster casts. So I started doing the same thing, I bought this plaster cast and then made hundreds of drawings. Then decided to make a gold and silver painting on canvas.
Naturally the title is The Coloured Statue

The Cold Shoulder

Anyone that is married will know what the "Cold Shoulder" means, well this woman is showing it. There is definate space between her and the rest of the canvas.

This is a painting reminds me of the sky line of a city

CD

The title of this painting is not surprising: "CD".
When I started learning how to burn some CD, there were a lot of CDs that went to the dustbin and i started to wonder what I could do with them. As you can see I found a solution.

The Furnice

This was a real joy to paint, and today it was joy to give away. It was given to the local health centre. The doctors and nurses there are friendly and always a pleasure to speak to, and I think they needed someone to say well done. So I donated this picture to the centre.

Catch

This is a painting of my sons arm. It reminds me of an outstrecthed arm catching a ball. It was fun doing and getting him to pose for the drawing.
This was done on gold and silver leaf once again and the size is 100*81cm

Boxes

This painting is unique because each little window is a picture frame that I made, then they were all put together and then framed as a group. Then each section was treated as its own little picture.
The title is "Boxes" and the size is 99,5*61,5.

The Blue Yonder

This is one of the very few paintings that colour was used.
The positive section was done with silver leaf, but the background was done with gold leaf.
The size of the canvas is 100*81cm.
The title of the picture is "The Blue Yonder". It reminds me of the time when I used to hike though the mountains of South Africa. Standing on top of a mountain and looking out over the scene below. The feeling of being on top of the world is enough to make one feel like disrobing and chilling out.

Backlight

This is one of my favourites, but most people do not see what it is right from the beginning. It is a back of a woman with a strong light from the right side causing deep shadows.
The size of the painting is 100*81cm and the title is "Backlight"

Bed Feet

This is very different o all my other paintings, because the perspective is not at two paints but in the centre.
The title is "Bed Feet" because they were the feet of my wife while lying on the bed, and her cabinet next to her.
The size of this is 116*92cm, and naturally was done with gold and silver leaf, placed on canvas.
